And if there's one thing you'll find that all highly successful marketers or business owners have in common, it's that...

THEY ALL VALUE THEIR TIME MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE

When most people think of "assets," things like real estate, precious metals, bonds and stock portfolios come to mind. Time is usually left completely out of the picture.
But the truth is, time is more valuable than all of these and smart business owners are more careful and selective about how they spend this asset than anything else!
Why?
Because it's the ONE thing you can't get any more of.
Unlike money and other "physical" assets which can literally be had in any quantity once you learn HOW to invest your time and WHAT to invest it in.
Now the reason this idea of "opportunity cost" is so significant is because when you choose to do something, by default, that means you choose NOT to do something else.
And if the stuff that you choose to do falls under the category of low value activities, you've got a serious problem.
Not only is your time being spent on things that do little or nothing to advance your business, but it also means you have that much LESS time to spend on the things that do.
This is what keeps people in the rat race.
Have you ever had a day where you literally did 2,001 things and yet when you looked back on it, you had absolutely no idea what you got done?
This is called being busy without being productive and its a result of not knowing what the core money-making activities of your business are.

I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE

I'm probably more guilty of this than anyone!
I think I'm more prone to getting distracted and taken off course by little projects and detours than anyone I know and it's something I constantly struggle with.
Certain family members and close friends have even referred to this natural "handicap" of mine as "squirrel in the road syndrome."
Very flattering.
However, it just goes to show that if I can succeed in spite of it, so can you.
Here's a great tip for you I learned that virtually guarantees every single day you have is highly productive:
Always take care of the high value activities FIRST THING every day - or as close to first thing as you can get - no matter what.
That way, regardless of what else you do after that, it's already been a good day.
If you don't take care of the most important things right off the bat... life will get in the way.
Guaranteed.
The world will conspire to throw a wrench in your spokes and keep you from getting ahead.
The dishwasher will break down... the dog will get sick... a friend you haven't seen in five years will be in town... the post office is going to close in thirty minutes... and before you know it, the day is gone.
Due to the inherent craziness of life, it's inevitable that some things aren't going to get done.
It's your job to make sure that when you do run out of time in the day, the core money-making activities are not on the list of things that got pushed off until tomorrow.
Okay, so what ARE the high value activities you should be focused on?
Here's how I've broken things down for my business:

Checking email (did you know they've done studies and have found that the impulsive, never-ending cycle of checking emails/messages/etc is an addiction similar to doing cocaine? It's true)

Cold-calling
Attending "same old" company trainings and meetings that are little more than
social events
Team call, after team call, after team call... (these kind of meetings can be
high value, but can also very easily be overdone and give you a false sense of
progress)
Errands for business
Repetitive/Administrative work

High Value Activities
----------------------------
Positioning yourself so that people seek you out
Setting up sales and marketing systems that automate the grunt work for you and weed out all but the best prospects
Setting up automated follow up systems that build relationships with prospects and customers
Developing relationships with mentors and people you can learn from
Studying copywriting and direct response marketing
You'll notice I have prospecting under low value activities. Why?
The reason is because prospecting is one of - if not THE most un-leveraged methods for acquiring new customers/business builders there is.
When your entire marketing process is dependent on you physically approaching someone or calling them on the phone, your results are strictly limited to the amount of hours you can put in - just like working a job.
If you talked to people non-stop (assuming you don't run out of people to talk to) and you're REALLY lucky, you might be able to book one appointment a day, which is roughly 30 a month.
However, if you take weekends and holidays off, you're probably looking at a number closer to 20. This comes out to about 240 a year.
Maybe.
And all these appointments are is showing your opportunity/product to someone who reluctantly agreed to meet with you.
These aren't even people who raised their hand and asked for information themselves.
However...
When you combine copywriting with direct response marketing, you can attract thousands of qualified prospects through virtually any type of media...
Internet
T.V.
Radio
Mail
Newspapers
Magazines
E-mail
...in the same amount of time it takes to physically approach one UNqualified one!
And perhaps best of all, these other methods for getting your message across to someone don't require you to personally be there in order for them to continue to work for you.
Imagine getting more prospecting done while you sleep than you previously could all year doing it one at a time!
It's easy to see why some people make $60,000/mo in network marketing... and some people make $60/mo.
Learning how to do this type of marketing ("selling long distance") is, without a doubt, the highest use of your time.
But please don't take my word for it...

1. You drive traffic to your Lead Capture Web Pages (also called Splash and Squeeze Pages) using several internet marketing tools. These pages are designed to be catchy and stimulate the viewer to click through to more information about your product or service.
2. Once a page visitor clicks a link on your capture/splash page they are taken to a squeeze/thank you page where they are offered a free or low cost (under $50) retail product or service of high value (E-Book, Membership Site Access, DVD, Internet Marketing Tool). These items come from your affiliate programs and can be accessed from the affiliate program web site or from your own web site.
3. To get these “freebie” products/services the visitor must sign-up with name, e-mail address and telephone number (optional). Now you have A LEAD that agreed to be contacted again by you. These leads are sent to your AUTORESPONDER so that you can keep in close contact with them.
4. The lead receives the requested product/service and is now linked right back into your prospecting system through your affiliate programs by links in the product they received.
5. You will receive one or both of these 2 things from this process:
a) a new lead that you can contact to discuss developing a business relationship in your affiliate programs and/or to offer them entry to your primary business(s)
b) a sales commission if your “freebie” product/service in step 2 had a low cost to it
6. So your leads are now PROSPECTS and can be converted using your autoresponder and e-mail into full affiliates/customers of your affiliate programs and can also be introduced to your primary business(s).
7. Your prospects should now be sent a series of follow-up messages encouraging them to purchase an even more valuable product/service ($50 -$200). You receive a sales commission once they purchase the product.
8. The Prospect is now a Customer to whom you can offer your primary business program, product or service by calling or e-mailing them on a regular basis.
Did you notice that in steps 2 and 7 you can make money even before you have even introduced the prospect to your primary business?

Now, here are the 5 Pillars of Action for you to implement in your home-based internet business:
1. So Why Do You Do What You Do?
This topic is a favorite of mine. I'm about to share with you a very, very vital (yet overlooked) technique that never fails. That’s right. NEVER fails. This technique has helped my prospects and business partners immensely.
Let’s get started with your Action Plan…
Society puts a lot of emphasis on HOW things are done. Present a work plan with lofty goals to your boss and surely they will ask you how you suppose those goals will be met. Apply for a bank mortgage and the loans manager will ask you to demonstrate how you plan to pay it off. Give your professor a great answer to a complex question and chances are he/she will ask how you arrived at your conclusion.
The HOW is often so predominant that the WHY is sometimes completely forgotten, as if the WHY were of less importance. Nothing could be further from the truth. WHY you want something or WHY you want to do something are infinitely more important than HOW you are going to achieve it.
Did you get all that? . . . infinitely more important than HOW you are going to achieve it.
If you are reading this Blog Post you are likely an internet entrepreneur already, or you are searching for an opportunity for a home-based business, now. There are, of course reasons WHY? for your activities. But do you know YOUR WHY?
I hope you do!
But if you don’t (and most don’t), then it’s time you found out. If you’re not achieving the results you would like to be achieving with your personal/family financial well being in your job or your part time or full time Internet Business enterprise, or in any other aspect of your life . . .
Chances are you do not know or you have lost your focus on YOUR WHY!
Stay with me now. It’s gut check time…
To find out what YOUR WHY may be just as simple as identifying what it is that you want, right? Everyone knows what they want, right? Wrong . . .
It's a bit more challenging than one would think. Ask an adult to write down everything they want on a list with a minimum of 10 items and you will find that for most it turns out to be quite difficult.
Stating that you want a certain amount of money, want to quit working or just want a bigger car than your neighbor can cause people to experience discomfort. After all, it may make them appear greedy or lazy and that's not generally considered positive. So they try to come up with something that's socially acceptable and in doing so, make what they want subject to the opinions of others. Not good.
Here’s the interesting part . . .
Kids on the other hand have no problem here. They'll come up with 10 items and more in no time, listing things you didn't even know exist. They don't worry about what others may think of it, whether it makes them look greedy, lazy or whatever. All they know is that they want it. You see, kids have not yet been brainwashed or conditioned into thinking that they can’t have certain things.
Kids just assume they can have anything they want, right? And so can you, IF …
you find and focus on your why.

d. It motivates you.
So here is a quick method for you to help you find your WHY. Make a list of the things you DON’T want in life. It will only take you a few minutes and it’s actually a pretty fun exercise because when you actually come to terms with what you DON’T want it becomes clear what you DO want. The peace of mind you will experience by being clear is just, well…you’ll see.
After you’ve identified what it is you want, then you get to your all important WHY. So why would you want all those things?
Why would you want to be rich? Why would you want to quit working to have your own internet business? What would you do if you no longer had to go to a job every day? You may decide you want a bigger house than anyone in your family before you ever had.
But what does that do for you? Would you sleep better? Would it make your life better? Would it make you happier? Whatever it is, it's critical that you know.
Exactly HOW you plan to achieve your success is far less important, especially early on. Too much focus on the HOW early in the process can have a devastating effect. It could paralyze you. I call it "analysis paralysis."
If your financial situation is so bad that you're actually below broke then achieving financial independence can seem so far fetched that reaching it appears impossible. You might sell yourself on the idea that it's so far out of reach that you couldn't possibly make it happen in this lifetime. As much as that may seem true at the time, it doesn't have to become your reality. Don’t be sold.
However, in order to get there you will probably have to overcome some serious hurdles. And for that to happen, you need a reason to get up and take the necessary ACTION. That reason needs to be strong enough to pull you through the tough times that inevitably will come.
That reason is YOUR WHY.
History bring us unbelievable stories of accomplishment. People facing seemingly insurmountable odds who overcame obstacles, individuals with relentless determination who decided to push on in situations where most people would give up.
Why is then, that so many people throw in the towel when things don't go their way and only a small number of people seem to persevere?
It's not because they are genetically stronger and it's not because they have been dealt a better hand in life. What sets them apart is their WHY. That's what keeps them in the game. Their WHY is so strong that whatever gets in their way, they will find a way to deal with it. They don't have all the answers, but what they do have is an inner conviction that they can and will find the answers.
. . .And they are crystal clear about what they want AND WHY.
Nailing down your WHY is one of the most powerful ways to improve your chances of success and financial freedom with your home-based internet business. So make sure that you know what your WHY is. 2. Nothing Happens Until Something Moves:
Ideas, preparation, knowledge, and wisdom are all essential in the pursuit of achievement, BUT…ideas, preparation, knowledge and wisdom are useless without ACTION, because action is the starting point of ALL progress . . .
Here's a good rule of thumb:
Your feelings lead to your thoughts, your thoughts lead to your actions, your actions leads to your results.
Feelings --> Thoughts --> Your Why --> Actions --> Results
Remember, it's the results that count. It's the results that get you YOUR WHY!
3. The Universe Helps Those Who Help Themselves:
It is interesting that the ones with the most "luck" are the ones who are often implementing (putting into action) the most plans? This may be a little deep for some but I have news for you…"Outside forces" always come into play when one takes action and the bolder the action, the more powerful these outside forces seem to be.
4. The Law Of Averages:
The Law of Averages is actually a universal principal which means it never fails to work. It applies to every aspect of life -- from finding a spouse to closing a sale to applying for a job. Wait a minute…we don't talk about 'JOBS' here at LFW. Let's rephrase --how about finding and building an internet business? Good? Better? Excellent? Yes you can!
Remember from Pillar 3 about those that help themselves? Well, the more you help yourself (the more action you take) the more The Law of Averages will work for you. 5. Action Produces Genius, Magic, and Power:
If YOUR WHY is the fuel for ACTION then action is the ignition key to results. Here's my favorite part, and may come as a surprise to many: You DO NOT need to be motivated to act! Read that again.
If necessary, force yourself to take action, and motivation will follow. I bet if people knew that there'd be a whole lot more people having results out there . . .
Most people have it the other way around. It's the combination of action, genius, magic and power that produces motivation, which, in turn leads to even more action. Remember YOUR WHY leads you to ACTION.
Action stimulates both the body and brain cells. It brings you in contact with surprising things, unexpected events, and incredible people who have the potential to be critical to your success. Take action first, on your why, even just to explore possibilities, and your creative juices will follow.
And here's where it gets interesting: "Long-term happiness is a result of taking rational actions that are in accordance with YOUR WHY."
It seems, most people "wait" to be motivated to take action which is why most people are stuck "waiting" for opportunity to come to them. Opportunities never come to those who "wait." Ever.
It's essentially comes down to taking ACTION on strengthening your personal infrastructure and making sure your goals are in line with YOUR WHY.
Otherwise taking action becomes pretty difficult. Here is a simple formula for setting up your personal ACTION infrastructure. Now you can make an Action Plan that will get you to YOUR WHY.
A) Set Goals:
This is critical. There is nothing that will keep you more focused than setting goals and writing them out. Visualize exactly where you want to be in a month, six months and a year. Here are some example goals:
* In a month's time, you will have selected an internet business model and some opportunities that you will pursue.

1. So Why Do You Do What You Do?
This topic is a favorite of mine. I'm about to share with you a very, very vital (yet overlooked) technique that never fails. That’s right. NEVER fails. This technique has helped my prospects and business partners immensely.
Let’s get started with your Action Plan…
Society puts a lot of emphasis on HOW things are done. Present a work plan with lofty goals to your boss and surely they will ask you how you suppose those goals will be met. Apply for a bank mortgage and the loans manager will ask you to demonstrate how you plan to pay it off. Give your professor a great answer to a complex question and chances are he/she will ask how you arrived at your conclusion.
The HOW is often so predominant that the WHY is sometimes completely forgotten, as if the WHY were of less importance. Nothing could be further from the truth. WHY you want something or WHY you want to do something are infinitely more important than HOW you are going to achieve it.
Did you get all that? . . . infinitely more important than HOW you are going to achieve it.
If you are reading this Blog Post you are likely an internet entrepreneur already, or you are searching for an opportunity for a home-based business, now. There are, of course reasons WHY? for your activities. But do you know YOUR WHY?

To find out what YOUR WHY may be just as simple as identifying what it is that you want, right? Everyone knows what they want, right? Wrong . . .
It's a bit more challenging than one would think. Ask an adult to write down everything they want on a list with a minimum of 10 items and you will find that for most it turns out to be quite difficult.
Stating that you want a certain amount of money, want to quit working or just want a bigger car than your neighbor can cause people to experience discomfort. After all, it may make them appear greedy or lazy and that's not generally considered positive. So they try to come up with something that's socially acceptable and in doing so, make what they want subject to the opinions of others. Not good.
Here’s the interesting part . . .
Kids on the other hand have no problem here. They'll come up with 10 items and more in no time, listing things you didn't even know exist. They don't worry about what others may think of it, whether it makes them look greedy, lazy or whatever. All they know is that they want it. You see, kids have not yet been brainwashed or conditioned into thinking that they can’t have certain things.
Kids just assume they can have anything they want, right? And so can you, IF …
you find and focus on your why.
YOUR WHY will bring the following benefits to you:

Guess what? There are no “Secrets” to financial independence. First ask yourself this question - "Why am I not rich yet?"

The trouble with all these answers is that you're blaming someone or something else for the financial situation you're in right now and you are saying that you've been a "victim" of circumstances beyond your control.
Many people who are not happy with their lot in life go through life with the victim’s mindset and this prevents them from ever changing their financial situation!
When they don’t get the results they want, victims tend to give themselves lots of excuses like ‘I’m just unlucky’, ‘ I have no experience’, ‘I’m too old to earn more’, ‘I’m too young to be rich’, ‘I have no capital’, ‘I was born poor’ or ‘I’m not a creative person’. The reason all these are lousy excuses is because we know that there are many examples of people who have created wealth for themselves, despite all these same perceived disadvantages.
Victims also tend to blame everyone except themselves. When you ask victims why they are not rich yet they will say something like, ‘my boss won’t give me a raise’, ‘I don’t get any opportunities’, ‘my big family prevents me from saving money’, ‘the stock market caused me to lose everything’. And instead of finding a way to improve and change, victims spend their time complaining but don’t do anything about it.
The trouble is that when you give yourself excuses, blame others and whine, it means that someone else or something else is controlling your life and your (lack of) wealth. Since you believe that it is not your fault, then you are powerless to change it. If you have a victim’s mindset and hold doggedly onto the belief that external forces are controlling your wealth, then any wealth strategies you learn will be of no use!
The moment you acknowledge that you create your own fortune (or lack of it), it means that you have given yourself the power to start becoming rich right now. And when you discover the strategies of wealth creation, you will find that you can make money at any age, with any background, with little or no money and in any economy!

o Quit the “day wage job” by the end of . . . or by ??Month 200?
o Debt and Financial Freedom by the end of . . . or by ??Month 200?
o And earning $10,000 per month from business activities (including passive/residual income) by the end of . . . or by ??Month 200?
Wealth never happens by chance. It always begins with a clear plan in your mind. Once you have set specific financial goals or targets within your plan as shown above you will be on your way EXCEPT for one thing.
Goals by themselves are nothing but pipe dreams. Only the moment when you start taking action on your plan and goals, will your dream becomes a reality.
